Age: 24 Position: Forward High School: Skyview High (Utah) Junior College: College of Eastern Utah Hometown: Smithfield, Utah Tyler Billings is entering his 2nd year at WSU. He transferred to Weber last season where he played off the bench and averaged double digits in Big Sky play. Also, he was one of the best shooters in the conference for '06-'07. In conference play Billings averaged 11 ppg. He finished the season 2nd in 3 pt FG% (.538), and 5th in both FG% (.610) and FT% (.871). Q&A with wsubball.com 1. When was the first time you heard of Weber State? I'm from around here, but I heard of them mainly from the UNC tarheels game [1999 NCAA Tournament]. 2. How were you recruited? I was recruited out of the College of Eastern Utah by Coach Rahe, he said “ How does being a Wildcat sound? “ And from there I was a Wildcat. 3. Why did you come to Weber State or how did you decide on Weber? I knew of Coach Rahe when he coached at USU, and my buddy Nate Harris told me many good things about him. Also the history of Weber State made me want to be apart of that. 4. How do you like Weber State/Ogden/Utah? I love Ogden, my brothers always tell me that it is the armpit of Utah , but I beg to differ. I wouldn’t mind settling and raising my family here. 5. What is your Major? Athletic Training 6. What do you plan/want to do after you graduate? I just got accepted into physical therapy school in Dallas, Texas and I will head down there in May. The PT program will take me 3 more years. 7. What is your favorite professional sports team? The Chicago Bulls 8. Movie? The Bourne Trio (Identity, Supremacy, and Ultimatum) 9. Recording artist? Don’t really have a favorite, but I would go with Dashboard Confessional or Snoop Dogg. 10. Something interesting about you or something you’ve done that WSU fans wouldn’t know? I shattered my two front teeth and broke my nose in the same play in a junior college game. Also that I have been married for 2 ½ years to Meghan Billings. 11.Nickname(s)?
