T.J. Benson, Sophomore Guard
TJ Benson #15 TJ Benson last season

Age: 21
Position: Guard
High School: Corona Del Sol High (AZ)
Junior College: Mesa CC (AZ)
Hometown: Tempe, AZ

This is TJ Benson's sophomore year at WSU. He transferred here before last season but ended up redshirting because of an ankle injury which required pins. Benson also cut off his "Nash" due so if you don't see him on the court just look for #15.

Q&A with wsubball.com
1. When was the first time you heard of Weber State?
The first time I heard of Weber State was during the NCAA Tournament when Weber State beat North Carolina in the first round.
2. How were you recruited?
Coach Rahe came to AZ and watched me workout. I went on an official visit to Weber and committed on the spot.
3. Why did you come to Weber State or how did you decide on Weber?
I didn’t have a lot of options and I thought Weber was the best fit for me. Also, I wanted the opportunity to play Division I basketball as well as the chance to play in the NCAA Tournament.
4. How do you like Weber State/Ogden/Utah?
Ogden is a great college town. It is a change of pace compared to where I’m from but I’m a laid-back guy so it’s not a big deal. I love the snow but it is a little cold at times compared to 100 degree heat back in AZ.
5. What is your Major?
Business Administration
6. What do you plan/want to do after you graduate?
I want to play basketball professionally overseas but if that doesn’t work out then I would go into commercial Real Estate.

Phoenix Suns

Superbad

Kanye West
